Resvent iBreeze Auto CPAP Review

Resvent iBreeze Auto CPAP Review: An RPSGT's Real-World Verdict

Is the Resvent iBreeze any good, or just the cheap option? I get asked this almost every week. I'm a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), and I've used CPAP myself since 2015. I should also be upfront: YesCPAP is the authorised and exclusive Resvent distributor in Singapore, and I use the iBreeze every night. So read this as an informed review — but one where I show you the trade-offs, not just the wins.

Here is my short verdict. The iBreeze Auto is a full-featured auto-adjusting CPAP — heated humidifier, heated tubing, a 4–20 cmH₂O range and a noise level at or below 28 dB. I've run it nightly for over a year with strong results. For most people with diagnosed obstructive sleep apnoea, it delivers premium features at a noticeably lower price.

What is the Resvent iBreeze Auto CPAP?

The Resvent iBreeze Auto is an auto-adjusting CPAP machine that raises and lowers pressure breath by breath to keep your airway open. It ships with a built-in heated humidifier and heated tubing, runs from 4–20 cmH₂O, and reports your nightly therapy data. In short, it covers what most diagnosed obstructive sleep apnoea patients actually need.

Specification Resvent iBreeze Auto

My experience: over a year on the iBreeze

Honestly, the iBreeze surprised me. I've used it as my nightly machine for over a year, and it gave me effective therapy — with even better AHI scores than my previous Philips DreamStation Auto. The pressure delivery feels smooth, and at home it runs quietly. For a value-priced machine, that combination is rare.

One feature I genuinely rely on is the ability to fine-tune pressure in 0.1 cmH₂O steps. Most ResMed and Philips machines only move in larger increments. That said, pressure changes belong with your provider — I'll explain why below. I'm simply telling you the hardware allows precise, comfortable tuning.

Comfort and pressure delivery: the IPR system

The iBreeze uses Intelligent Pressure Release (IPR), which eases pressure as you breathe out across three grades. Many users find exhaling far more natural than against constant pressure. In my practice, that single feature decides whether someone tolerates therapy. However, if exhaling still feels like work, an auto BiPAP often fits better — see the next section.

If you're weighing auto versus fixed pressure, my CPAP vs Auto CPAP guide walks through the difference. The iBreeze handles both modes, so you're not locked in.

Sound level: what to actually expect

The iBreeze sits at or below 28 dB, which makes it one of the quieter machines I've handled. For most bedrooms, you'll barely notice it. Still, I'll be straight with you: in a very quiet room, a minority of users or their partners do hear the airflow. If that's you, moving the machine slightly further away usually solves it.

The humidifier and Singapore's climate

Singapore's humidity is a real factor, and the iBreeze handles it well. The heated humidifier plus heated tubing reduce "rainout" — that condensation that pools in the hose. As a result, you avoid the gurgling and the cold splash of water on your face. The manufacturer recommends distilled water; follow their guidance for your own unit.

iBreeze Auto vs iBreeze Pro: which one?

The two machines are very similar. The iBreeze Pro adds a gentler women's algorithm (APAPW) tuned for female respiratory patterns, and it comes in a white-and-pink faceplate rather than the standard gunmetal-and-black. Otherwise, the core therapy and comfort features match. For the full breakdown, read my iBreeze Auto vs iBreeze Pro comparison.

iBreeze vs ResMed AirSense: the value question

This is where the iBreeze earns its reputation. It retails around S$1,400 with humidifier and both tubings already included. A ResMed AirSense 10 sits higher, and the AirSense 11 higher still — often with tubing and accessories sold separately. ResMed's app ecosystem is more mature; the iBreeze wins clearly on included value. My full iBreeze vs ResMed AirSense comparison shows the numbers side by side.

Who the iBreeze suits — and who it doesn't

The iBreeze suits most people with diagnosed obstructive sleep apnoea who need pressures between 4 and 20 cmH₂O and want premium features without a premium price. It's especially sensible for Singapore homes, given the humidity. For HDB and condo bedrooms, the quiet operation matters too.

It's not for everyone, though. If you need pressures above 20 cmH₂O, or you still find exhaling hard, consider the iBreeze Auto BiPAP instead. And one firm word: please don't buy any CPAP to self-treat undiagnosed symptoms. Get a sleep study interpreted by a physician, and a doctor's prescription, first.

Price and value in Singapore

The iBreeze Auto starts from S$1,400, or S$1,200 with the YesCPAPFAM code, and that price already includes the humidifier, both tubings, SD card, power brick and bag. With YesCPAP, you also get free remote setup, early-days coaching and mask-fit support from a certified sleep technologist. Therefore, the real-world value sits well above the sticker price.

Reading your own iBreeze data

The iBreeze records the readings that actually matter — AHI, leaks and your P95 pressure — onto an SD card. You can review them in free tools like OSCAR or SleepHQ. My guide on how to read your CPAP data shows you what to look for. Bring anything unusual to your provider rather than changing settings alone.

Is the Resvent iBreeze reliable?

In my own use, yes. I've run the iBreeze Auto nightly for over a year with consistent, effective therapy. It's HSA-approved (DE0507383) and CE marked, meeting the same international standards as premium brands. Reliability also depends on basic care — keep the air inlet dust-free and clean the parts on schedule.

Is the iBreeze noisy?

Generally no. It runs at or below 28 dB, quieter than most snoring it replaces. In a very quiet bedroom, a small number of users notice the airflow. If that happens, place the machine a little further from your head, which usually resolves it.

iBreeze or ResMed — which is better?

It depends on your priorities. ResMed offers a more mature app ecosystem; the iBreeze offers strong therapy and included accessories at a lower price. For most diagnosed patients chasing value without losing comfort, I find the iBreeze the smarter buy. Compare them directly before deciding.

Does the iBreeze come with a humidifier?

Yes. Every iBreeze Auto includes an integrated heated humidifier and heated tubing as standard, with manual levels 1–8 and a pre-heat function. In Singapore's humidity, that pairing matters — it reduces rainout and keeps your throat from drying out overnight.

Is the iBreeze HSA-approved?

Yes. The Resvent iBreeze is HSA-approved (DE0507383) and CE marked. CPAP machines are regulated medical devices in Singapore, so approval and a proper prescription both matter before you start therapy.

Where can I buy the iBreeze in Singapore?

You can get the Resvent iBreeze Auto CPAP from YesCPAP, with island-wide delivery and certified setup. Before you buy, though, the right step is a proper assessment — which leads to my closing point.

Ready to find out if the iBreeze is right for you?

Therapy works best when the machine fits the person — not the other way round. So here's how I'd start: get properly assessed, confirm your diagnosis and prescription with a doctor, then let me help you match the right machine, mask and pressure approach. As an RPSGT and a daily iBreeze user, I'll walk it with you. Speak to me for a consultation — WhatsApp setup support is included after purchase.
